Transfigure Me
Read: Exodus 4:1-9
On the pages of Scripture, we see a God who transforms what is broken, shameful, or ordinary into something powerful and full of His glory. In Exodus 4, the Lord turns Moses’ staff and even his weakness into signs of divine authority. In the same way, on the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus revealed the fullness of His glory to His disciples. This is the heartbeat of Tales of Transfiguration—to witness and share how God continues to transform us today. As you step into this devotional, open your heart to the God of miracles, who restores, renews, and reshapes us into His likeness.
Dear Lord,
You turn snakes into rods. And You restore the leper’s flesh. You are the God of miracles! Take me, O’Lord, to the Mount of Transfiguration. Turn my serpents into staffs of authority and shepherding, bring Glory to the Son. Heal my parts that are like the leper's shame and allow me to be put to shame no more. You alone, Lord, can restore my soul and return the parts of me that looked like they were gone for good. Change my life from the inside out and create in me a new heart that is wise in what is good and simple concerning evil. A heart that does not stray. A heart that obeys with everlasting joy and pleasure. A heart after Your very own heart, God. Please make me more like You each and every day.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
Take a moment to make this prayer your own and allow the Holy Spirit to be your guide. Ask God to search your heart.
May the hearts of all the transfigured cry out, “More like you, Lord…”
